On TVW this week: Sister state ceremony, impaired driving and charter schools

Here’s what TVW will cover live this week on television and the web:

Monday 3:30 p.m.: Washington state and Hyogo Prefecture in Japan are celebrating 50 years of a sister-state relationship with a day of activities in Olympia. The two states will hold a friendship ceremony and sign a renewal of the joint agreement in the Senate chambers at 3:30 p.m. TVW will carry it live on television, as well as webcast.

Tuesday at 9:30 a.m.: TVW will live webcast the first meeting of the Impaired Driving Workgroup. The agenda includes a discussion about strategies for funding, education and collaborations. Watch the live webcast here.

Wednesday at 9 a.m.: TVW will live webcast the Health Benefit Exchange Board meeting in SeaTac. The board is scheduled to take action on the health plans that will be included in the exchange. Watch the live webcast here.

Wednesday 2 p.m.: TVW will live webcast a meeting of the Joint Select Committee on Article IX Litigation as the group puts together the school funding report for the state Supreme Court. Watch the live webcast here.

Thursday at 11 a.m.: TVW will live webcast the Charter School Commission meeting in Everett. The group is scheduled to review and vote on the proposed charter school rules. Watch the live webcast here.

TVW will re-broadcast these meetings on television at a later date, except for the Impaired Driving Workgroup and the Health Benefit Exchange Board (both are webcast only).
