As of Wednesday morning, there is still no announcement of a budget deal.

Gov. Jay Inslee is meeting with his cabinet at noon to discuss “ongoing contingency planning” in case of a possible government shutdown, which is only four days away.

Inslee’s chief of staff Mary Alice Heuschel will brief the press at 1 p.m. after the meeting (TVW will live webcast).

The House is expected to vote on a transportation revenue package on Wednesday that would raise the gas tax by 10 cents. They considered amendments to the bill on Tuesday. The News Tribune reports that House GOP support for the revenue package is faltering.

The Senate is scheduled for session at 2 p.m. For the latest updates, follow TVW on Twitter
