Bill Finkbeiner, the Republican candidate for lieutenant governor, released a campaign music video today of him singing county song “I’ve Been Everywhere” with a twist on the lyrics — “Olympia better be aware, man, ’cause I’ve been everywhere,” he sings.
Finkbeiner is backed on bass and guitar by Nirvana co-founder Krist Novoselic.
Finkbeiner said in a press release he knows the Nirvana bassist through Novoselic’s work as an “electorial reform advocate.”
His opponent, incumbent Brad Owen, apparently also has some musical talents of his own. No word yet on if they’ll have a sing-off.
