The Senate is honoring Sen. Scott White with a resolution today. White died in October of a heart attack.

“I want you to always know how well respected your father was,” Sen. David Frockt said, addressing White’s children.

Sen. Mike Hewitt said White was a natural leader who was a great public servant. He said White will be missed by legislators.

Sen. Lisa Brown praised White’s vitality and legacy as a lawmaker. “There hasn’t been a day yet that I haven’t thought about Scott about thought about what he would have brought to the process,” she said.

Sen. Tracey Eide said she’ll always remember White’s screen saver on his computer — a picture of his wife and two children. “Thank you for sharing him with us. Everyone in this room considers us family with you,” she said.
