Sine Die, take 2: What’s happening today

May 25th, 2011 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Uncategorized

Good morning. The capitol is starting to fill up, as the House caucuses and the Senate gathers. At TVW, we’re busy interviewing lawmakers — I’ve already spoken with Rep. Ross Hunter and Sen. Mike Hewitt.

Hunter said the Legislature will adjourn today — so long as your definition of “today” is fairly fluid. And Hewitt said this session has been “phenomenal” for Senate Republicans, who saw many of their policy initiatives make it through the bipartisan process.

I’ll post the interviews here as soon as they’re available. Jessica will be live Tweeting from the studio, too. Stay tuned.

Tomorrow, Tomorrow: What you’ll see live (and taped) on TVW for Sine Die part 2

May 24th, 2011 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Uncategorized

Well, here we are: Tomorrow is the last scheduled day for special session. TVW will be live all day with floor action — and I’ll also be stationed in the capitol, interviewing more than a dozen lawmakers throughout the day.

Because of floor session, the interviews will be taped and played at the earliest break. Don’t worry: You can watch the interviews live on the web and I’ll be posting extra tidbits here.

And don’t miss The Impact with Jessica Gao at 7 p.m. tomorrow. She’ll be wrapping up the busy week of legislative news.
