Up now in House Transportation: Addressing ferry cost drivers

The House Transportation Committee is hearing a bill to address the factors that drive up costs in the ferry system. Here’s the bill report.

The bill doesn’t actually reduce costs — it states the Legislature’s intent to address costs. So far, they’ve spent time discussing bargaining, employee travel costs and the “ragtag fleet of boats,” as Rep. Jeff Morris put it.
